The Prophets in Islam were extraordinary individuals sent by Allah to various communities for the purpose of being exemplary role models to inspire and spread the message of Islam. The Qur’an mentions 25 Prophets by name but it is believed there were many more as the Qur’an states, “And We certainly sent into every nation a messenger” . Below you can read and learn from the journeys of the 25 Prophets and how they helped make Islam the religion it is today.

The Story of Prophet Dhul Kifl

BACKGROUND   The Story of Dhul-Kifl (also referred to as Zul-Kifl) is a bit of a mystery. There is not much information known or recorded and a lot of debate as to whether he truly is a Prophet. The literal meaning of Dhul-Kifl is “Possessor of the Fold”. What we know about him is that he was a righteous man and ‘company of the good’ who was also extremely patient. This is based off two mentions of Dhul-Kifl in the Glorious Qur’an.  The first is from Surah Al-Anbya ayat 85-86: The second mention in Qur’an is from Surah Sad ayat 45-49: “And remember Our servants, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob – those of strength and [religious] vision. Family Tree Of Prophet Ayyub Prophet Ayyub (Job) was a descendant of Prophet Ibrahim. Ayyub’s mother was the daughter of Prophet Lut and his wife was a direct descendant of Prophet Yusuf. Ayyub lived in Rome with his dear wife Rahma and fourteen children. Ayyub was a Prophet who was immensely blessed by Allah— he was strong and healthy, had large plots of land, abundant livestock, and a righteous and beautiful family; he was also a community leader who was highly respected and loved his people.
